We are excited to present another success story as part of our sustainability strategy: At our Sibiu (RO) location, the installation and commissioning of a powerful 400 kW photovoltaic system has been successfully completed!
New solar panels have been installed on the roofs of the Looper Hall, Rolls Warehouse, and Reticulation Hall, making a significant contribution to the use of renewable energy at the site. This initiative is a clear testament to our commitment to climate protection and emphasizes the goals of Greiner AG's Blue Plan and our NEVEON Impact Strategy to reduce the carbon footprint and achieve our sustainability objectives.
Efficiency and Impact
With the new photovoltaic system, our Sibiu site can cover around 30% of its electricity needs with solar energy. In line with our objective to generate at least 2.5% of the corporate group’s total energy consumption by 2030, Sibiu is making a substantial contribution to this milestone.
“Having 30% of our electric energy produced by ourselves is just the first step towards a “greener” future for NEVEON Romania. It’s quite impressive how the NEVEON team pushed this project forward in this turbulent business year, which clearly proves NEVEON’s and Greiner’s commitment towards a sustainable future.”, says Lambert Reudink (General Manager South East Europe).
Every Step Counts
The commissioning of this photovoltaic system highlights our dedication to a sustainable future and the responsible use of resources. Every step matters in turning our vision of a more resource-efficient foam production industry into reality.
